Q: Can you make ___ for me?
A: For designs, check here. For anything else, contact me and I will let you know! What I have listed here and made specific pages for are just my bread and butter, so don't hesitate to ask about any art needs you may have. :)
Q: What is "Full Artist Creative Control"?
A: Full Artist Creative Control (FACC), is where the artist creates the piece as they understand it based on the information provided. The artist may or may not share sketches before moving onto completing a piece. The artist is under no obligation to make any revisions once the piece is completed. Because this process has few interactions and administrative tasks, the FACC is the most affordable option.
Q: What is "Full Client Creative Control"?
A: Full Client Creative Control (FCCC), is where the client dictates each and every detail of the piece until satisfied with the final product. Should this process exceed 2x the estimated time to complete, the client will be given the choice to take the work as is, or contract the remainder of the project to completion based on an hourly rate.
Q: What is "Hybrid Creative Control"?
A: Hybrid Creative Control (HCC), is the most common agreement where the client and artist go back and forth with input and revisions to fine-tune the concept to completion. Should this process exceed 2x the estimated time to complete, the client will be given the choice to take the work as is, or contract the remainder of the project to completion based on an hourly rate.
Q: What rights do I get for my commission?
A: When you commission something from me you retain rights to any original characters and you gain Personal Use rights upon completion of payment. These rights do not allow you to resell, reprint, or re-host the art in any way that would obtain additional value. However you may crop, resize, print, and re-host the artwork for personal use such as hanging it on your wall or using as an avatar. I retain the right to sell prints of the artwork and use it for self-promotional purposes.
If you require more rights, you may look into your Commercial or Exclusive Rights options:
Commercial Rights means I retain the right to use the image for display/portfolio purposes and keep all work-product. Upon completion of payment all the high-resolution flattened images will be provided to you. You may transform, reuse, resell, profit, and otherwise obtain value from the images as you see fit. Unless otherwise stipulated, Commercial Rights are obtained for a fee of $50USD per piece.
Exclusive Rights means upon completion of payment all original files such as PSDs and flattened finished images will be provided to you. This means you may transform, reuse, resell, profit, and obtain value from the image as you see fit. I do retain the right to keep a lowered-resolution watermarked copy for portfolio purposes. Unless otherwise stipulated, Exclusive Rights are obtained for 30% of the first $1000USD worth of work, 15% of the next $4000USD, and 5% on amounts exceeding $5000USD. Upon request I may also remove any relevant work from my blog or social media reposts and if required an additional fee can be negotiated to purchase all work-product created in the use of the original files.
